VEGAN MOCHA MYLK? I know what you're thinking, YUCK; am i right? Well guess what readers, although this iced frappe is vegan you couldn't be more wrong. Our frappe recipe was created to not only be delicious but nutrient dense, super creamy and taste just like a store bought treat. This recipe is dairy free, we use a combination of homemade almond and coconut 'mylk' so the coconut flavours don't overtake the strong mocha flavour we desire.
* This recipe can be slightly altered to create a warm winter treat.*
1/2 cup of homemade almond milk ( see article on how to make your favourite milk alternative )
1/2 cup of creamy coconut milk
1 tablespoon of raw cacao power
1 /2 teaspoon of cinnamon or nutmeg
1 teaspoon of organic honey
1 teaspoon of coffee ( dissolved in a small amount of warm water )
In a high powered blender fill half way with ice. Add all ingredients together and blend until all ingredients are combined.
If you wish to be fancy, and admired as the next possible master chef add a chocolate swirl into the serving glass for added taste and visual appeal.
Mix cacao power, and coconut oil together and drizzle on the inside of a cold glass.
